DevilDriver
DevilDriver
DevilDriver has always been a band on a three-pronged mission: Work hard, rock harder, and kick as many asses as possible in the process.
Since first forming in 2003, the Santa Barbara metal quintet has stuck resolutely to this mission, even though it’s often meant traveling a rougher, less glamorous road than most musicians would prefer to endure. Rather than cashing in on the popularity of his previous successes, frontman Dez Fafara insisted from the get-go that DevilDriver should not only forge their own unique sound, but should also start at the proverbial bottom of the bill and work their way up through endless touring, earning the music world’s respect one fan at a time.
Pray For Villains, DevilDriver’s gut-punching new album, is clearly the culmination of that endless hard work and unconquerable self-belief. Having honed their powerful sound over the course of three previous albums – 2003′s self-titled debut, 2005′s The Fury of Our Maker’s Hand and 2007′s The Last Kind Words - and countless live dates (including their legendary Download appearance in 2007, where the band’s ferocious performance triggered what many believe to be the largest circle pit in history), the band is now operating at a higher level than ever before.

The Faceless
The FacelessThe Faceless is a technical death metal band from Encino, California who have astonished their live audiences with dizzying guitar work, lightning fast drumming and unmatched brutality. Formed by guitarist Michael Keene and bassist Brandon Giffin, the band quickly found the perfect mix of dedicated musicians to complete the line up.
Currently, the band is in a studio working on their newest album that is set to be released in 2011.

Dying Fetus
Dying FetusDying Fetus is a brutal death metal band formed in 1991 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, United States. The line-up consists of John Gallagher (guitar, vocals), Sean Beasley (bass, vocals) and Trey Williams (drums).
Dying Fetus’ music is a hybrid of death metal and grindcore, characterized by extremely fast blast beats, complex riffing and slow breakdowns. Lyrically-wise, the band dabbled in the usual gory death metal subject matter on their early albums, and respectfully covered “Born in a Casket,” a song originally written by famous death metal band Cannibal Corpse. By 2000’s Destroy the Opposition, however, they shifted towards politically driven lyrics. Their lyrics are often left-wing, mostly consisting of aggressive critique addressed towards things such as religion, corporations, consumerism and war. Their fusion of death and grind is called Slam.

Job For A Cowboy
Job For A CowboyGlendale, AZ extreme metal unit JOB FOR A COWBOY blend stunning musicianship and cutting edge song craft to create the absolute embodiment of modern day extreme music. The fast-rising band, known for their intense songs, explosive live performances and forward thinking vision, will release their highly anticipated full-length debut, entitled GENESIS on May 15 via Metal Blade Records.
JOB FOR A COWBOY formed in December 2003 with vocalist Jonny Davy, (then 16), and guitarists Andrew Arcurio and Ravi Bhadriraju (15 at the time). The band was soon joined by bassist Brent Riggs and drummer Elliott Sellers and the quintet immediately began work on the material that would comprise their debut recording.
As work on new music commenced, JOB FOR A COWBOY began to hone their much talked about live show by playing a consistent string of shows in and around their hometown. The band's jaw-dropping live sets quickly put them on the radar of music fans in a number of different AZ music "scenes".

3 Inches Of Blood
3 Inches Of BloodRaised in hell, forged by fire and harder than Krupp Steel, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD are about to triumphantly return as one of the biggest defenders of traditional heavy metal with their stunning new album, “Here Waits Thy Doom”! The new opus was tracked in Seattle’s Sound House Recordings with renowned producer Jack Endino (Soundgarden, High on Fire, Zeke) and is soon to be hailed as the gospel of all things heavy.
“Here Waits They Doom” marks the recording debut of extremely talented drummer Ash Pearson that lends a whole new dynamic to the band’s already lethal assault. This disc is also the first offering where Cam Pipes handles all vocal duties with Justin Hagberg adding some backups. Guitarist Shane Clark and Hagberg also laid down all of the bass tracks themselves, ensuring maximum shred on the album. Although the lineup is different, the aesthetic remains the same, and the technical proficiency surpasses that of the last record.
Shane Clark (guitars) states: “Our new album is finished and we've named it “Here Waits Thy Doom”. Much like our last record it is a step beyond the album that precedes it. We've again taken what we do a step further and not made “Fire Up The Blades” part 2, we've stuck to our formula - no formula. We are true metal fans and we've made an unapologetic metal record. I think this our most focused record to date, from writing all the way to mixing there was no unnecessary drama or too many cooks in the kitchen. This is 3 INCHES OF BLOOD at its most punishing, epic and mighty.”
The group kicks off their worldwide touring cycle for “Here Waits Thy Doom” this fall embarking on a massive North American trek with In Flames, Between The Buried and Me and The Faceless. Expect an unrelenting touring campaign to be laid out spanning the course of 2010 and beyond.
Born out of a love for pure metal, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD have been slaying the infidels of extreme music for nearly a decade. In that time, they've released three albums and toured with such acclaimed acts as Satyricon, The Black Dahlia Murder, Motorhead, Cradle of Filth or Exodus, just to name a few. With their last album, “Fire Up the Blades”, they crafted a number of undeniable anthems that crash, rip and roar like a Medieval battleground. With their first album on Century Media Records, “Here Waits Thy Doom”, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD now up the ante and will leave every metal fan crying iron tears of pure joy!
3 INCHES OF BLOOD represent everything that heavy metal was, is and will be about! “Here Waits Thy Doom” demonstrates that the best way to stay ahead of the heavy metal curve is to write music that comes from the heart and sounds nothing like the horde of bands tapping into the latest trends. To that end, they draw fuel from their favorite artists, including Judas Priest, Mercyful Fate, UFO, and Rainbow and compile it all into their own deadly potion.
Take a running dive into The Blades, and find out.

Wretched
WretchedWRETCHED began as a jam band in 2005 and have been recording demos ever since. Steven Funderburk (guitar) and Marshall Wieczorek (drums) knew the first time that they played together that there was a strong connection. Throughout the past few years, the band has progressed in knowledge of music theory and composition, which has been a big benefit in making quality music. “We always make sure our songs and music are structured very well and are carefully thought out,” states Funderburk. “We put feeling and soul into our music, and we write it to the best of our ability.” Not only do they practice weekly as a group, but they all maintain strict individual practice routines to progress as musicians; this is proof of their dedication to excel in their craft and not be content to go through the motions.
Gaining a strong following in their home state of North Carolina that spans as far as Texas and New York, the band believes that online promotion and communication with fans at shows, have helped in making WRETCHED a household name in the world of metal. Touring with the likes of Kill Whitney Dead, Suffokate and Rose Funeral has helped widen their fanbase. Regardless of their thrash metal sound, they draw a wide variety of audiences, ranging from old school metal fans and head bangers, to hardcore scene kids.
WRETCHED is looking to bring back old school metal and color to the traditionally dark scene. “We have our own sound; it hints at what other bands do, but it’s our own interpretation of this certain type of metal,” states Funderburk. With one listen off their Victory Records debut, The Exodus of Autonomy, fans will experience complete audio mayhem, leaving them craving for more.
No question about it, WRETCHED is ready to play music for the musicians and metal for the masses.

Decibel Magazine Tour featuring Behemoth
BEHEMOTH have always pushed the limits of their abilities and defied the boundaries of death and black metal. Now, the Polish metal kings have returned with a new offering, The Apostasy, which is destined to become both the defining release of the band's career and one of the most revered and dynamic offerings the genre has seen in years. The Apostasy's basic meaning is "to go against religion," and with Poland being one of the top religious countries in the world, BEHEMOTH strives to convey that being religious is not the key to happiness. This album takes everything to the next level, as Nergal (guitars, vocals) promises "more speed, aggression and blasphemy than ever before." The Apostasy is easily the group's most ambitious and epic offering yet and was recorded in the band's hometown of Gdansk with Nergal and longtime sound engineer Malta in the producers' chairs. The effort was once again mixed with the acclaimed Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah, SYL) at Dugout Studios in Sweden and will be mastered by Bjorn Engelmann (Rammstein).
BEHEMOTH built their career upon their unrelenting touring schedule, performing over 325 shows worldwide in support of their 2005 release, Demigod. The group kicks off The Apostasy's worldwide touring cycle on Ozzfest 2007 as direct support to second-stage headliners Hatebreed. This event marks BEHEMOTH's biggest U.S. tour yet, further setting the stage for the band to become the new leaders of the genre.
Originally formed by a teenage Nergal in 1991, BEHEMOTH quickly made a name for themselves in black metal circles with four early cult albums: From The Pagan Wastelands, ...And The Forests Dream Eternally, Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic) and Grom. But it wasn't until the release of Pandemonic Incantations and the addition of Inferno (drums) that the band started to realize their true potential. Songs became catchier, where the musicianship and production vastly improved. With Satanica, BEHEMOTH started to incorporate more of a death metal approach to their songwriting. The high, raspy, black metal screeches of the first four albums were replaced with a forceful yet audible death metal growl. Two successful European tours followed with Deicide and Satyricon as the band started to amass a rabid following. In 2001, Thelema.6 was released in the U.S. Truly a landmark in the extreme metal community, Thelema.6 saw the band combining their early black metal influences with the utter viciousness and technicality of Satanica.
Now an unstoppable live force, touring opportunities with bands such as Nile and Morbid Angel began to pour in. For those who thought the band had reached their peak, nothing could prepare them for what came next. Zos Kia Cultus (Here And Beyond) was unleashed upon unsuspecting audiences in 2003. The album saw BEHEMOTH set a new standard in massive production and song craft for all others to meet, as they take a slight turn away from the more straight-ahead brutality of Thelema.6 and put more of an emphasis on groove. As rave reviews started to flow in, the group made its American live debut at the New Jersey March Metal Meltdown festival. The several extensive nationwide tours that followed (which included treks with the likes of Deicide, Amon Amarth, Halford, Testament, Superjoint Ritual, Opeth, Lacuna Coil and Six Feet Under) helped to make 2003 a breakthrough year for the band.
Demigod was the next logical progression of the band's already colossal sound. The songs took on an even more aggressive feel this time around, with more traditional metal song structures and slightly more melodic lead work. In an effort to match the grandness of the composition, a professional male choir was brought in to record real vocal harmonies for "Sculpting the Throne ov Seth." A slew of major worldwide touring insanity followed with the likes of such acts as King Diamond, Suffocation, Danzig, Morbid Angel, Chimaira and The Black Dahlia Murder, helping the group to more than solidify themselves as one of the genre's most exciting new artists. The touring campaign for Demigod was ultimately capped off with an appearance on 2006's Sounds of The Underground tour alongside As I Lay Dying, In Flames and Trivium where BEHEMOTH quickly became the most talked about act due to their vicious and unrelenting live show, which immediately garnered them a whole new legion of devoted fans.
While most bands struggle to evolve and stay vital within the extreme music genre, BEHEMOTH manages to do so effortlessly. The Apostasy is destined to continue the legacy.
Watain is a Swedish black metal band from Uppsala, formed in 1998. The band's name is taken from a recording by the American black metal group Von.

The Devil's Blood
“The Devil’s Blood are pleased to announce the conception of a new Litter to be cast upon the sacrificial flames of the bull-headed God that resides on the plane of Gehenna. Eleven new children shall pass through His flames to become reborn in Chaos when the eleventh of November comes to pass in this foul year of their lord, two thousand and eleven. We have taken 11 months to write and two months to record these monsters and to prepare, attach and inscribe the appropriate sigils, ornaments, chimes and bells upon these young-lings before releasing their serpentine malignity upon the world...”
SL/TDB/A-O The Devil’s Blood’s founder and leader.
The Devil’s Blood:
The myriad of influences, both artistically and spiritually, that creates the overall aesthetic of The Devil’s Blood takes the listener into a labyrinth of wondrous amazement and dark realization. Using the tradition of rock n roll music as being a mouthpiece for the influence of The Devil to evoke a powerful, sensual and energetic mixture of Musical Theatre and Ritual Practise.
Using the power of their written material, which traditionally holds common ground with, for example, 70s hard rock and 60s psychedelia among many others, as a steppingstone from which the band moves into complex improvisational drifts that drive, clash, shake and force their way into the subconscious of the listeners while at the same time opening up their senses with the use of fire, blood, incense and other ritualistic ingredients.
The Devil’s Blood uses these ingredients in their Theatrical Presentations as focal points through which the sonic worship of Death, Chaos and the Devil is projected. To instigate certain rebellious notions, alive deep within the dark heart of humanity, they seek to spill forth the waters of the River of The Devil’s Blood so that it in turn might instigate the spark of the inner Divine flame, that it might speak of the inner potential and power of the ones confronted with its glory, that it might, in whatever small or grand fashion, add to the growing forces of the infernal dominion and thereby to the impetus that shall lead to the end of all things.
“The Devil’s Blood is a dedication to principles and principals more ancient than Time, a branch of a tree greater than the World, an exclamation of both the profound and the profane. The Devil’s Blood has always been one of the many vessels through which the Light of the Devil shines upon the darkness of the world and shall always be the possible entrance to a path walked alone. But only for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. This path starts not in understanding but in confusion.
The Devil’s Blood have proven time and time again to be a completely self reliant and untethered entity, we hold no allegiance with anyone, not even internally. We do not belong to any scene and refuse to be the face of any kind of movement or organisation. The Devil’s Blood is quite simply not of this world and holds no ties to it. We shall disappear as suddenly as we came when the time of the completion of our founding goals has been achieved. What these are is not known, not even to us. Without fear nor hesitation we cast upon the fire our children for Moloch! Hail Satan!“
